Ski Mountaineering Competition Canada (SMCC) hosted by Castle Mountain Resort is pleased to announce our 6th annual Skimo race dates.??The event will include Sprint Races and Individual Races (long and short courses).??

The Castle races have recreational and competitive divisions for men and women with categories for youth (<19) and Masters (>40).??

Sprint Race Timeline for Sat Jan 6, 2018

  • 10:00 registration for sprint race closes and lift tickets for racers/volunteers issued.
  • 10:00-12:00, sprint course open for training.
  • 12:00 Tech briefing sprint race
  • 1:00-3:00 Sprint race
  • 7:00-9:00 Day Lodge Skimo Open House and Silent Auction

  • 08:00 registration closes for Individual race
  • 08:00 ??? 09:15 Individual race start lists, waiver completions, racer/volunteer ??lift tickets, start corral set up, volunteers with start lists upload chairs to their stations
  • 08:45 Individual race tech briefing
  • 09:45 Racers & Volunteers to start corral, beacon check, personal bags
  • 10:00 Individual race start and move start to create finish corral
  • 12:00 Cut off for Competitive division racers to reach top Huckleberry chair
  • 2:00 Individual race finish
  • 3:00 draft results posted/appeals
  • 3:30 Awards ceremonies day lodge

For the 2020 Youth Olympic Games, the IOC has approved Ski Mountaineering Racing. We???re fostering a strong youth team to wear the Maple Leaf at these games. Come cheer for our future Olympians!
